Erik was elected to serve as President of the Iowa Society of Healthcare Attorneys ("ISHA") at the group’s annual meeting and seminar on May 18, 2023. ISHA is a personal membership group associated with the Iowa Hospital Association. ISHA is the only statewide organization that focuses health law issues important to attorneys representing hospitals and other health care providers. The 2023 annual seminar covered topics of tort reform and litigation, employment law trends, and merger subjects. Attorney General Brenna Bird also gave remarks covering a number of timely issues impacting healthcare institutions.
