Joe Moser has been named Life Fellow of the Iowa State Bar Foundation. Membership as a Fellow is by invitation only and is limited to those members of the Iowa State Bar Association who have demonstrated adherence to the highest principles and traditions of the legal procession, as well as service to the public and to the community in which they live. As stated in the Bylaws of the Foundation, "membership in the Fellows is evidence of professional distinction and constitutes a professional honor."
The major objectives of the Foundation are "to advance the science of jurisprudence; to study, improve, and facilitate the administration of justice; to promote and maintain uniformity in judicial decisions; to foster and maintain the standards of integrity, honor, and courtesy in the legal profession; and to provide ways and means for accomplishing and carrying into effect the foregoing objectives and purposes."
