Stacie Codr has been elected to as the President-Elect of the Polk County Bar Association. Stacie will continue to serve in the President-Elect position for 2022-2023 and will become the organization's president in May 2023 for the 2023-2024 term. Stacie has previously served as an officer of the Polk County Bar Association as the Secretary (2019-2020), Treasurer (2020-2021), and Vice President (2021-2022).
The Polk County Bar Association is the largest local bar association in the State of Iowa. It is a non-profit, volunteer organization working to serve and improve the legal and judicial system while providing public service to the community, including through the Volunteer Lawyers Project which serves Polk County’s low-income residents by handling as many as 1,000 cases each year to the tune of thousands of hours of donated legal work. The Polk County Bar association also provides continuing legal education and networking opportunities to its diverse membership, which includes judges, private practitioners, government workers, and corporate legal counsel.
